Doctor Faces Maximum 390-Year Prison Sentence, Health Care Fraud
A federal jury has found a New Orleans doctor guilty of 39 counts of health care fraud. According to U.S. Attorney Jim Letten, the doctor, 56-year-old Maria Carmen Palazzo, defrauded Medicare in connection with psychiatric services she never rendered in a program at Touro Infirmary.
