Medicare Part D: Seniors plot how they’ll save on medications

Ward Shaw intends to switch Medicare Part D drug plans for his wife so she won’t end up in a coverage lapse again next year. Until then, the retired Naples couple will go the discount route for her medications once she reaches the so-called “doughnut hole,� where her drug coverage disappears for a time until she reaches a catastrophic level of need.
